What other supplies will I need?

You'll need a few simple supplies to complete these projects:

A cutting machine or laser [REQUIRED] 
Our files work with any modern machine that can read SVG files such as Cricut®, Silhouette®, Brother ScanNCut®, Glowforge®, xTool®, WeCreat®, or any laser that uses Lightburn or CorelDraw. We are not affiliated or endorsed by any specific brand. [See our full compatibility guide here.]

Materials to cut [REQUIRED] 
Our designs can be cut on a variety of materials. Paper crafters love using 65lb or 80lb cardstock. Laser crafters often use 1/8" or 1/16" basswood sheets or cast acrylic. Both work beautifully.

A frame to display your work [STRONGLY SUGGESTED] 
We recommend using an 8"x8" shadow box frame - but if you use card stock without spacers between the layers, our projects fit inside regular frames too! Studio Fundamentals shadow box frames from Michaels fit our projects perfectly. Pro Tip: always check inside dimensions before cutting and resize your project to fit if needed.

Foam tape or dots [OPTIONAL]
Optional for paper projects but adds beautiful dimension between layers.

Acid-free tape [OPTIONAL]
For attaching your photo without damaging it over time.

Glue [OPTIONAL]
If gluing layers, we love Bearly Art Glue for paper projects. Wood glue or acrylic glue for laser projects.

There are 3 ways to get your files:

What if I can't find my files?

If you log into our website and do not see your files under "My Downloads", it's most likely because there was either a misspelling in the email address during purchase, or the order is under a different email address. 

 

If you purchased with a third party payment account (PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, etc.) your files will be under the email address associated with that account.

We love supporting small businesses, that’s why each design includes a limited commercial license to sell up to 100 physical products made by you. We also offer an extended license for customers who need it.

 

You may not sell the digital files or print on demand products.

What is a Layered SVG File?

A layered SVG is an SVG file that, once loaded into your cutting machine such as a Cricut Maker or Silhouette Cameo or laser cutting machine, will cut each layer in the file on a separate piece of material.

What size are these designs?

Each design is sized to 8"x8" but can be infinitely resized. Keep in mind that the maximum cut size is determined by your machine and mat size. Take care when sizing down as small details may be lost or cut poorly.

How do I use these files?

Each design comes with an easy-to-follow PDF instruction manual and links to our growing library of video tutorials.

Yes, our files work with all of the above. Each design includes an SVG for Cricut® and ScanNCut® as well as .studio3 file which works with Silhouette® Studio.

Will these work with my laser machine?

Probably! Our files are layered SVG files and work most modern laser machines. We have successfully tested our files on Glowforge®, xTool® and WeCreat® lasers and any laser that uses Lightburn or CorelDraw.
